The invention relates to 4-alkyl-substituted thienyloxy-pyridines of formula (I) wherein the variables have the following meanings: R1, R3: hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkoxy or halogenalkoxy; R2: alkyl or cycloalkyl; R4, R5, R6: hydrogen, halogen, cyano, alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkoxy, halogenalkoxy, alkylthio, halogenalkylthio, alkylsulfonyl or halogenalkylsulfonyl; wherein R2 is not methyl when R1 and R3 are hydrogen; in addition to the agriculturally usable salts thereof; a method and intermediate products for the production thereof; in addition to the use of said compounds or agents containing the same in order to combat undesirable plants.
