ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE 1,3-Dihydro-2H-imidazol-2-ones having 5-acyl and 4 (substituted amino)methyl substituents, are useful as cardiotonics, antihypertensives and antithrombotic agents. The compounds are obtained by the reaction of an appro- priate amine with a substituted 4-bromomethyl-1,3-di- hydro-2H-imidazol-2-one.
