4-Cyanophenylimino heterocycles Abstract The invention relates to novel 4-cyanophenylimino hetero- cycles of the general formula (I) Image (I) in which R1 represents hydrogen or halogen, R2 represents halogen, cyano, hydroxyl, amino, or one of the following groupings -X-R3, -N(R4)-CO-R5 or -N(R4)-SO2R5, where X represents oxygen, sulphur or a single bond, R3 represents alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, heterocyclyl or heterocyclylalkyl each of which is optionally substituted, R4 represents hydrogen or alkyl, and R5 represents alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, aryl or arylalkyl each of which is optionally substituted, A represents alkanediyl or alkenediyl each of which is optionally substituted, E represents nitrogen or carbon, and G represents nitrogen or represents carbon which is bonded to hydrogen or alkyl via an exo single bond or to oxygen or sulphur via an exo double bond, where, for the case where E represents nitrogen, A does not represent optionally substituted trimethylene, to processes for their preparation and to their use as herbicides, as well as to novel intermediates for their synthesis.
