ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Chemical Compounds The specification describes new 4-hydroxy- 2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxamide-1,1-dioxides of general formula I Image (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl or methoxy group or a fluorine or chlorine atom and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl, ethyl or n-propyl group, and the salts thereof formed with inorganic or organic bases, and also two processes for preparing these compounds. The compounds of general formula I have a strong antithrombotic activity and are suitable for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions effective as antithrombotic agents.
