Abstract New 4-substituted derivatives of pyrazolo[1,5-a]- quinoxaline-3-carboxylic acid, esters and their salts have the formula Image wherein R1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl-lower alkylene or Image lower alkylene wherein R4 and R5 each is hydrogen or lower alkyl or together with the nitrogen complete one of the hetorocyclics pyrrolidino, piperldino, morpholino or piperazinyl, said heterocyclics being unsubstituted or substituted with one or two lower alkyl groups; R3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, halogen or lower alkoxy; X is oxygen or sulfur and salts thereof. The new compounds are useful as antiinflammatory agents.
