The present invention relates to a 4a- aryldecahydroisoquinoline compound, which is represented by a compound 1, or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. (see above formula) As the results of in vitro and in vivo pharmacological evaluations, it was found that the compounds of the present invention had excellent preventive effects on ischemic death of cerebral neurocytes, suppressive effects on development of cerebral infarction, and strong analgesic and antitussive effects; therefore the compounds of the present invention can be utilized in the medicinal field as a useful cerebral cytoprotective agent, which is aimed at preventing and treating cerebrovascular disorder, ischemic cerebral disorder, cerebral neurocyte disorder, and dementia, an analgesic, and an antitussive.
Composés de 4a-aryldécahydroisoquinoléine caractérisés par le composé de la formule (<u>1</u>) ou leurs sels d'addition d'acide acceptables en pharmacologie. Quand on les évalue pharmacologiquement in vitro et in vivo, ces composés exercent un effet préventif excellent contre la nécrose ischémique des cellules nerveuses du cerveau, un effet inhibiteur de la progression de l'infarctus cérébral, un effet analgésique puissant, ainsi qu'un effet antitussif. De ce fait, on peut les utiliser médicalement en tant qu'agent protecteur des cellules du cerveau, afin de prévenir ou de traiter des troubles cérébrovasculaires, des troubles cérébraux ischémiques, des troubles des cellules nerveuses du cerveau, la démence, etc., ainsi qu'en tant qu'agent analgésique ou antitussif.
