Diphenyl ether compounds of the formula (I) are provided th-it exhibit activity useful for reducing glucose, cholesterol, and/or triglyceride levels in plasma, and for treatment of obesity, inflammation, immunological diseases, autoimmune diseases, diabetes and disorders associated with insulin resistance. (I) wherein represents an optional bond; W represents O or S; Z represents CR10, O or S; G represents O, S or together with R10 forms a 5 or 6 membered aromatic or heteroaromatic ring system containing 1 or 2 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of O, S and N; R8 represents OR13 or NR14R15; where R13 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, substituted and unsubstituted (C1-C20) alkyl, (C2-C20) alkenyl, (C5-C14) aryl, (C6-C34) aralkyl, (C1C13) heteroaryl, and a counter ion; and where R14 and R15 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, substituted and unsubstituted (C1-C20) alkyl, (C2-C20) alkenyl and (C5-C14) aryl; the other substituents are defined in the claims.
La présente invention a trait à des composés à base d'éther de diphényle de formule (I) présentant une activité utile pour la réduction de niveaux de glucose, cholestérol, et/ou triglycérides dans le plasma, et pour le traitement de l'obésité, de l'inflammation, de maladies immunologiques, de maladies auto-immunes, du diabète et des troubles associés à la résistance à l'insuline. Dans la formule (I):- représente une liaison éventuelle; W représente O ou S; Z représente CR10, O ou S; G représente O, S, ou ensemble avec R10 forme un système de noyau aromatique ou hétéroaromatique de 5 ou 6 chaînons contenant 1 ou 2 hétéroatomes choisis parmi le groupe constitué de O, S, et N; R8 représente OR13 ou NR14R15; où R13 est choisi parmi le groupe constitué d'hydrogène, alkyle en C1-C20, alcényle en C2-C20, aryle en C5-C14, aralkyle en C6-C34, hétéroaryle en C1-C13, substitué ou non substitué et une contre-ion; et où R14 et R15 sont indépendamment choisis parmi le groupe constitué de H, alkyle en C1-C20, alcényle en C2-C20 et aryle en C5-C14 substitué ou non substitué; les autres substituants sont tels que définis dans les revendications.
