The invention relates to cleavable surfactants of the formula: (see Fig. I or II) wherein R' and R, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical, the sum of the carbon atoms of R' and R being between 5 and 42. It also relates to the corresponding derivatives obtained by alkaline hydrolysis or amide formation. The purpose of the invention is to prepare these surfactants from 1(5)-gluconolactone and from a compound of the formula R-CO-R' in the presence of an acid catalyst, R and R' having the significance given previously. The surfactants are used specifically in emulsion polymerization and the field of hygiene.
L'invention concerne des tensio-actifs clivables de formule: (voir fig. I ou II) dans laquelle R' et R, identiques ou différents, représentent un atome d'hydrogène ou un radical alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, saturé ou insaturé, la somme des atomes de carbone de R' et R étant comprise entre 5 et 42. Elle concerne également des dérivés correspondants obtenus par hydrolyse alcaline ou amidification. Elle a aussi pour objet la préparation de ces tensio-actifs à partir de gluconolactone-1(5) et d'un composé de formule R-CO-R' en présente d'un catalyseur acide, R et R' ayant la signification donnée précédemment. Les tensio-actis sont utilisés notamment dans la polymérisation en émulsion et le domaine de l'hygiène.
