To provide a novel macrolide antibiotic having a strong antibacterial activity. Constitution: 11-Amino-3,11-dideoxy-3-oxo-5-O- desosaminyl-6-0-methylerythronolide A 11-N,12-O-cyclic carbamate which has a ketone at the 3-position and a methylated hydroxyl group at the 6-position of a 5-O- desosaminylerythronolide A derivative, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
