ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel 6.alpha.-methylcorticoids of the general formula I Image (I) (in which Image represents a single or double bond, R represents acyloxy having up to 8 C atoms and X represents Cl, OH or acyloxy having up to 8 C atoms) and processes for their manufacture. The novel compounds are pharmacologically active substances and may accordingly be made up with suitable carriers into pharmaceutical preparations.
