ABSTRACT Novel 6a-methlhydrocortisone derivatives of the general formula I Image (I) (in which R1 represents C2-C6-1-oxoalkyl or benzeyl and R2 represents H or C2-C6-1-oxoalkyl) and processes for their manufacture. The novel compounds of the formula I have an anti- inflammatory activity and accordingly may be used as anti-inflammatory agents and may be made up with suitable carriers into pharmaceutical preparations.
