Abstract of the Disclosure 6-Substituted hexahydroindazolo or hexahydro- isoindolo isoquinolines, having dopamine agonist and dopamine antagonist activity, are described herein. The compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding 8-dimethylaminomethylene derivative with a substituted amine. Novel intermediates are also disclosed; these intermediates are of the formula Image II wherein R is H, (Cl-C3)alkyl, allyl or benzyl; and R4 and R5 are independently H or (Cl-C3)- alkoxy.
