ABSTRACT Compounds of the formula Image wherein R3 is ethyl, n-propyl or n-butyl and R8 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or benzyl exhibit bronchodilating activity with reduced side effects and increased half-life. A method of achieving bronchodilation with reduced undesired effects (diuresis, CNS activity), by administering the said compounds to a patient, is also provided.
