ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to novel thienotriazolodiazepine derivatives of the general formula (I) Image wherein R1 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, R2 represents a phenyl, o-trifluoromethylphenyl, o-halophenyl, o,o'-dihalophenyl or o-nitrophenyl group or a pyridyl or thienyl group and R4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group or a group of the formula -alkyl-Z, in which Z represents the grouping -N(R5)(R6) wherein R5 and R6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, having anticonvulsant, sedative, muscle relax- ant, tranquilizing or anxiolytic properties. It also relates to a process for their preparation.
