Disclosed is a seven-membered heterocyclic ring compound represented by the formula (I) below, which has a chymase inhibitory activity and is thus useful as a pharmaceutical product used for prevention and treatment of various diseases associated with chymase, or a salt of such a seven-membered heterocyclic ring compound or a solvate of any of them. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a seven-membered heterocyclic ring compound, and a pharmaceutical composition containing a compound represented by the formula (I) below, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate of any of them, which composition is useful for prevention and treatment of diseases associated with chymase.
