Abstract of the Disclosure A process for preparing novel 8,8-disubstituted- 6-methylergolines and 9-ergolenes is described herein. This process comprises alkylating an ester of lysergic or isolysergic acid or of dihydrolysergic or dihydroisolysergic acid. These novel compounds are useful as prolactin in- hibitors.
