(57) Abstract A bag made of a flexi- ble packing material comprising a sheet of material having an in- ner face (9) and an outer face (8) and folded for the forma- tion of a tube with an overlap- ping portion. In the overlap- P~g Peon the packing mate- rial is sealed inner fact to outer face by means of a lapseal (10). Along two side edge portions (11, 12) the tube is welded in- ner face to outer face (side edge seals 13, 14), and outer face to inner face in the adjacent ar- eas (15, 16) of the overlapping portion for obtaining a closed bag enclosing the packed prod- uct. The packing material pro- vides a peel seal, when welded inner fact to outer face, and a strong seal (fusion seal), when welded inner face to inner face. Seen relative to the bag, the pack- ing material comprises an inner layer (17) comprising polyeth- ylene (PE), an outer layer (18) comprising a copolymer of poly- ethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) and a subjacent intermediate layer (19) comprising polypropylene (PP).
