A beverage (4) in initially sealed container (2) for example a bottle with a transparent wall comprises a water content and a dissolved gas content. The beverage may be alcoholic for example a lager or a flavoured alcoholic beverage or alco-pop. In the sealed container (2) the beverage (4) is cooled to a temperature below the freezing point of water at ambient atmospheric pressure. The cooled beverage is served in the container (2) which is opened to expose the beverage to ambient atmospheric pressure. Some of the dissolved gas bubbles out of the beverage. Such bubbles form nucleation sites which promote formation of slushy ice from some of the water content of the beverage, the formed ice expanding as a mass (12d) from the top of the container.
L'invention se rapporte à une boisson (4) contenue initialement dans un contenant hermétique (2), par exemple une bouteille à paroi transparente. Cette boisson contient de l'eau et un gaz dissous. Il peut s'agir d'une boisson alcoolisée telle qu'une bière, une boisson alcoolisée et aromatisée ou une boisson gazeuse alcoolisée. Dans le contenant hermétique (2), la boisson (4) est refroidie à une température inférieure au point de congélation de l'eau à pression atmosphérique ambiante. La boisson refroidie est servie à partir du contenant (2) qui est ouvert de manière à exposer ladite boisson à la pression atmosphérique ambiante. Une partie du gaz dissous s'échappe alors de la boisson sous forme de bulles. Ces bulles forment des sites de nucléation qui favorisent la formation de glace fondante à partir d'une partie de l'eau contenue dans la boisson, la glace formée se développant comme une masse (12d) à partir de la partie supérieure du contenant.
