The present invention provides a vascular catheter apparatus for temperature measurement of vascular tissue, comprising a flexible body (14, 15, 18), at least one resiliently biased projection (11) depended from the body, a sensor carried by the projection and an electrical carrier (13) for transmitting temperature data at the vascular wall from the sensor (10) to a remote device. The electrical carrier (13) is coiled around the length of the projection (11) to reduce strain at critical points where it is necessary to maintain a seal and hence electrical isolation.

L'invention concerne un appareil cathéter vasculaire permettant de mesurer la température d'un tissu vasculaire. Cet appareil comprend un corps flexible (14, 15, 18), au moins un prolongement (11) maintenu sous tension élastique dépendant du corps flexible, un capteur porté par le prolongement et un conducteur électrique (13) permettant de transmettre des données de température au niveau de la paroi vasculaire du capteur (10) à un dispositif à distance.
