A blood circulation assistance device (1), for location around a blood conduit (20). The device comprises: an inflatable bladder (10) moveable between a contracted form and an expanded form, for compressing the blood conduit (20) to provide counterpulsation. Pump means (30) in fluid communication with the bladder (10) move the bladder (10) from the contracted form to the expanded form. The pump means (30) comprises a centrifugal impeller (62) rotatable about an axis (61) to effect pumping. The impeller (62) is moveable axially between first and second positions to effect a reversal of the direction of pumping. Control means (50), in communication with the pump means, is capable of monitoring the cardiac cycle of an individual and triggering the pump means (30) to move the bladder (10) to the expanded form at diastole. An outer cuff, surrounds at least a portion of the bladder (10), providing an outer limiting extent to the movement of the bladder (10).
Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif (1) d'assistance à la circulation sanguine, destiné à être placé autour d'un vaisseau sanguin (20). Ce dispositif comprend: une poche gonflable (10) pouvant passer d'une position contractée à une position dilatée, afin de comprimer le vaisseau sanguin (20) lui assurant ainsi une contre-pulsation. Une pompe (30) en communication fluidique avec la poche (10) fait passer celle-ci de la position contractée à la position dilatée. La pompe (30) comprend une hélice centrifuge (62) pouvant tourner autour d'un axe (61) pour effectuer l'opération de pompage (3). L'hélice (62) peut être déplacée axialement entre une première et une seconde position, pour inverser la direction de pompage. Un moyen de commande (50) en communication avec la pompe, est capable de suivre le cycle cardiaque d'un sujet et de déclencher la pompe (30) pour faire passer la poche (10) dans sa position dilatée au moment de la diastole. Un manchon externe entoure au moins une partie de la poche (10), pour conférer une limite d'extension extérieure au mouvement de la poche (10).
