An approach for providing voice processing over a packet switched network (113) is disclosed. A communication system (100) includes a special forking proxy server (109) that receives a message for establishing a session between a calling user agent (101)and a called user agent (103). The message has a first payload corresponding to a first call leg. The system also includes a bridging user agent (107) that communicates with the first network element and generates a response that contains the first payload and a second payload that corresponds to a second call leg. The bridging user agent (107) is configured to bridge the first call leg and the second call leg to establish a session between the calling user agent (101) and the called user agent (103). The special forking proxy server (109) is configured to fork an acknowledgement message from the calling party to acknowledge the session establishment by the called user agent. The present invention has particular applicability to SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) IP (Internet Protocol) telephony services.
La présente invention concerne une méthode de traitement de signaux vocaux sur un réseau commuté par paquets. Un système de communication comprend un serveur mandataire de partage dynamique qui reçoit un message destiné à établir une session entre un agent utilisateur appelant et un agent utilisateur appelé. Ce message possède une première charge utile correspondant à une première branche d'appel. Ce système comprend aussi un agent utilisateur passerelle qui communique avec le premier élément de réseau et génère une réponse contenant la première charge utile et une seconde charge utile correspondant à la seconde branche d'appel. Cet agent utilisateur passerelle est agencé de façon à relier la première branche d'appel et la seconde branche d'appel afin d'établir une session entre l'agent utilisateur appelant et l'agent utilisateur appelé. Le serveur mandataire de partage dynamique est agencé de façon à partager un message d'accusé de réception de la partie appelante destiné à accuser réception de la session établie par l'agent utilisateur appelé. Cette invention est particulièrement applicable aux services de téléphonie SIP (protocole de déclenchement de session) IP (protocole Internet).
