A cartridge having a distal end provided with a mechanical coding. The coding has the form of a circular protrusion where the circular outer diameter is dedicated a specific concentration of insulin contained in the cartridge. The distal end of the cartridge is fitted in to a circular contour in the housing. The outer diameter of the protrusion on the distal end of the cartridge is chosen as a larger diameter for a higher concentration of insulin. In this way only a cartridge containing the correct concentration or a lower concentration fits into a delivery system designed for a specific concentration of insulin.
La présente invention concerne une cartouche présentant une extrémité distale à codage mécanique. Ce codage se présente sous la forme d'une saillie circulaire dont le diamètre externe circulaire est associé à une concentration spécifique d'insuline contenue dans la cartouche. L'extrémité distale de la cartouche s'adapte dans un contour circulaire du logement. Plus le diamètre externe de la saillie sur l'extrémité distale de la cartouche est important, plus grande est la concentration d'insuline. Ainsi, seule une cartouche contenant la concentration correcte ou une concentration inférieure peut s'adapter dans un système de distribution conçu pour une concentration spécifique d'insuline.
