A cartridge container unit having a compartment for storing a material. The compartment is adapted for separately storing one compo-nent of a formulation until ready for mixing with a second component in an assembly unit prior to use. Thus, the cartridge unit allows the user to store a material until ready for use, or to store multiple components of a formula- tion in separate individually sealed containers until ready for use that can be readily assembled into a single multi-compartment container. The cartridge unit includes a substantially cylindrical housing having a sealable opening at its top end and an opening at its bottom end. The bottom end may be adapted and configured to engage and seal the assembly unit. A first inwardly ex-tending annular shoulder is provided between the sealable opening and the bottom opening, defining a flow passage along a longitudinal axis of the housing.

L'invention porte sur une cartouche présentant un compartiment de stockage d'une substance permettant de stocker séparément l'un des ingrédients d'une préparation jusqu'à ce qu'il soit prêt à être mélangé à un deuxième ingrédient dans un mélangeur en vue de son utilisation. Ladite cartouche permet de stocker avant utilisation soit un ingrédient, soit plusieurs ingrédients placés dans des conteneurs séparés et fermés jusqu'à leur mélange dans un conteneur unique à plusieurs compartiments. La cartouche comprend un boîtier sensiblement cylindrique présentant un orifice obturable à son sommet, et un orifice à sa base, ladite base pouvant s'engager dans l'ensemble pour l'obturer. Un premier épaulement annulaire centripète, situé entre l'orifice obturable et l'orifice inférieur, délimite un passage d'écoulement parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du boîtier.
