The present invention relates to a casting apparatus comprising a holding furnace (1) for holding a reservoir of molten material (2), at least one smaller pumping furnace (3) also for holding a reservoir of molten material (4) and a casting cavity (6) connected to the pumping furnace (3) by one or more feed pipes (8). The pumping furnace is provided with means (7) for applying a pressure to force the molten material from the pumping furnace (3) into the casting cavity (6). The pumping furnace (3) and holding furnace (1) are contiguous and are connected by a non-return valve means (10) which prevents the flow of molten material from the pumping furnace (3) to the holding furnace (1) during pressurisation but which allows the flow of molten material from the holding furnace (1) to the pumping furnace (3) after pressurisation.
La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil de coulage comprenant un four de maintien à température élevée (1) destiné à contenir une cuve (2) de matériau en fusion, au moins un fourneau de pompage (3) également destiné à contenir une cuve (4) de matériau en fusion, ainsi qu'une cavité de coulée (6) raccordée au four de pompage (3) par un ou plusieurs tuyaux d'alimentation (8). Le four de pompage est doté de moyens (7) servant à exercer une pression qui pousse le matériau en fusion du four de pompage (3) dans la cavité de coulée (6). Le four de pompage (3) ainsi que le four de maintien à température élevée (1) sont contigus et sont reliés par un clapet d'arrêt à double effet (10) empêchant la circulation du flux de matériau en fusion du four de pompage (3) vers le four de maintien à température élevée (1) pendant la mise en pression, mais autorisant cette circulation après cette mise en pression.
