Heavy oils are subjected to catalytic cracking in the absence of added hydrogen using a catalyst containing a zeolite having the structure of ZSM-12 and a large-pore crystalline zeolite having a Constraint Index less than about 1. The process is able to effect a bulk conversion of the oil while at the same time yielding a higher octane gasoline and increased light olefin content.
Des huiles lourdes sont soumises à un craquage catalytique en l'absence d'hydrogène rajouté, à l'aide d'un catalyseur contenant une zéolite ayant la structure de ZSM-12 et une zéolite cristalline à gros pores ayant un indice de contrainte inférieur à 1 environ. Le procédé permet d'effectuer une conversion en masse de l'huile tout en produisant en même temps une essence à indice d'octane plus élevée et une teneur en oléfines légères accrue.
