A CD sheath includes a first cover formed with a first circular center hole, a vertical peripheral flange raised from a circumference thereof, a horizontal peripheral flange extending outwardly from an upper end of the vertical peripheral flange, a first sectorial opening, and a curved slot opposite to the first sectorial opening, the vertical peripheral flange being formed with a notch opposite to the first sectorial opening, and a second cover formed with a second circular center hole, a second sectorial opening, and a rectangular opening having a downwardly depending lug, the second cover having a circumferential edge of the second cover arranged under the horizontal peripheral flange of the first cover and the lug extending downwardly through the curved slot of the first cover thereby enabling the second cover to be rotated with respect to the second cover and therefore aligning the first sectorial opening of the first cover with the second sectorial opening of the first cover, whereby a CD can be moved in and out of a CD-ROM drive without direct contact to the hand.

Gaine de CD, comprenant deux couvercles. Le premier couvercle comporte un premier trou circulaire central et un rebord périphérique vertical dont l'extrémité supérieure se rabat en un rebord périphérique horizontal. Il comprend également une première ouverture sectorielle située devant une fente incurvée et vis-à-vis une brèche du rebord périphérique vertical. Le deuxième couvercle comporte un deuxième trou circulaire central, une deuxième ouverture sectorielle ainsi qu'une ouverture rectangulaire à laquelle se rattache une languette pendante. Le pourtour du deuxième couvercle s'engage sous le rebord périphérique horizontal du premier couvercle, la languette pendante traversant la fente incurvée du premier couvercle de manière à faire tourner le deuxième couvercle sur lui-même et d'aligner ainsi l'ouverture sectorielle du premier couvercle avec celle du deuxième, ce qui permet d'introduire le CD dans une unité CD-ROM, et de l'en retirer, sans contact direct avec la main.
