A circulation system (10) for mixing ink jet ink includes a container (20), a pump (40), a first (50) and second (60) tubes. The container (20) has a bottom surface (22) and a top portion (26) opposing the bottom surface (22). The pump (40) has an inlet port (42) and an outlet port (44). The first tube (50) has first (52) and second (54) ends. The first end (52) of the first tub (50) is connected to the inlet port (42) of the pump (40), and the second end (54) of the first tube (50) includes a plurality of openings (56) in close proximity to the bottom surface (22) of the container (20). The second tube (60) has first (62) and second (64) ends. The first end (62) of the second tube (60) is connected to the outlet port (44) of the pump (40), and the second end (64) of the second tube (60) has an opening (66) disposed in the top portion (26). A method for mixing ink jet ink includes circulating pigment particles from a bottom surface (22) of a container (20) to a top portion (26) of the container (20). The circulation provides sufficient agitation to maintain the pigment particles suspended in the ink and to prevent agglomeration of pigment particles.
La présente invention concerne un système de circulation (10) permettant de mélanger de l'encre pour impression à jet d'encre. Ce système comprend un conteneur (20), une pompe (40), un premier tube (50) et un second tube (60). Le conteneur (20) présente une surface de fond (22) et une partie supérieure (26), opposée à la surface de fond (22). La pompe (40) présente un orifice d'entrée (42) et un orifice de sortie (44). Le premier tube (50) présente une première extrémité (52) et une seconde extrémité (54). La première extrémité (52) du premier tube (50) est connectée à l'orifice d'entrée (42) de la pompe (40) et la seconde extrémité (54) du premier tube (50) comprend plusieurs ouvertures (56) qui sont très proches de la surface de fond (22) du conteneur (20). Le second tube (60) présente une première extrémité (62) et une seconde extrémité (64). La première extrémité (62) du second tube (60) est connectée à l'orifice de sortie (44) de la pompe (40) et la seconde extrémité (64) du second tube (60) comprend une ouverture (66) qui est située dans la partie supérieure (26). Ladite circulation assure une agitation suffisante pour maintenir les particules pigmentaires en suspension dans l'encre et pour empêcher l'agglomération de particules pigmentaires.
