The invention lies in the field of digital airport surveillance and overcomes a problem in identifying various types of aircraft and non- aircraft targets The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for classifying a given radar track segment obtained from multiple radars wherein the method comprises of a pre-processing stage to form the given radar track segment and to generate principal/secondary track data, a feature extraction stage to process the principal/secondary track data, a classification stage that generates principal and extension classification results for the given radar track segment based on feature values, and a combiner stage that combines the extension and principal classification results to provide a classification result for the given radar track segment.
La présente invention concerne le domaine de la surveillance numérique d'aéroports et résout le problème d'identification divers types d'aéronefs et de cibles qui ne sont pas des aéronefs. L'invention a trait à un appareil et un procédé pour la classification d'un segment de piste radar donné obtenu à partir d'une pluralité de radars, le procédé comprenant un étape de prétraitement pour la formation d'un segment de piste radar donné et la génération de données de pistes principales/secondaires, une étape d'extraction d'éléments pour le traitement des données de piste principales/secondaires, et une étape de classification qui assurent la génération de résultats de classification principaux et d'extension pour le segment de piste radar donné en fonction des valeurs d'éléments, et une étape de combinaison qui réalise la combinaison des résultats de classification d'extension et principaux pour fournir un résultat de classification pour le segment de piste radar donné.
