A closure (10) is provided for a water bottle of the type used in conjunction with a water fountain. The closure (10) comprises a body (20) having an open feed cylinder (50) and a sealing cap (30) which is movable between a sealing position and an open position and is adapted to seal the feed cylinder when in a sealing position. The sealing cap is biased towards a sealing position by biasing means which preferably comprise a plastics spring (70) that anchors the sealing cap (30) to the body (20). The form of the spring (70) and the arrangement of the sealing cap (30) and the feed cylinder (50) are such as to minimise and compensate for creep in the plastics material of the spring (70) in use of the closure (10) to ensure resealing of the feed cylinder (50) if and when the water bottle is removed from the water fountain.

L'invention concerne une fermeture (10) pour une bouteille d'eau destinée à être utilisée en relation avec une fontaine. Cette fermeture (10) comprend un corps (20) comportant un cylindre d'alimentation (50) ouvert et un couvercle de fermeture (30) qui peut passer d'une position de fermeture à une position d'ouverture et qui, en position de fermeture, est conçu pour fermer le cylindre d'alimentation. Ce couvercle de fermeture est amené en position de fermeture par des moyens de sollicitation comprenant de préférence un ressort (70) en plastique qui relie le couvercle de fermeture (30) au corps (20). La forme du ressort (70) et la configuration du couvercle de fermeture (30) et du cylindre d'alimentation (50) sont telles qu'elles permettent de minimiser et de compenser un fluage de la matière plastique du ressort (70) lors de l'utilisation de la fermeture (10) de façon à garantir la refermeture du cylindre d'alimentation (50) lorsque la bouteille d'eau est retirée de la fontaine.
