An organic-solvent-based thermosetting coating material capable of giving a coating film which has a smooth surface, does not soften even upon exposure to a temperature of 60 ~C or above, and has excellent nonfouling properties and from which adherent fouling substances can be easily removed, and comprising (A) a compound containing two or more alicyclic epoxy groups per molecule and having a number-average molecular weight lower than 2,000, (B) an epoxidized acrylic resin having a number-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 50,000, a hydroxyl value of 10 to 150 mg-KOH/g, and an epoxy equivalent of 220 or lower, (C) a thermally latent and cationically polymerizable catalyst, and (D) either fine polymer gel particles or a combination of colloidal silica with a tetraalkylammonium salt, the molar ratio of the epoxy groups in component (A) to the epoxy groups in component (B) ranging from 1/1 to 1/0.05; and a method for forming a multilayered coating film on an object by successively applying at least one coloring coating material and at least one clear coating material, characterized in that the organic-solvent-based thermosetting coating material is used as a clear coating material for forming the uppermost layer.
La présente invention concerne une matière de revêtement thermodurcissable à base de solvant organique capable de produire une pellicule de revêtement à surface lisse, qui ne se ramollit pas même lorsqu'elle est exposée à une température de 60 ·C ou plus. Cette matière de revêtement présente d'excellentes propriétés de non encrassement, les substances d'encrassement qui y adhèrent étant facilement enlevées. Cette matière comprend (A) un composé contenant deux ou plusieurs groupes époxy alicycliques par molécule et ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre inférieur à 2000; (B) une résine acrylique époxidisée présentant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre compris entre 2,000 et 50,000, un indice d'hydroxyle de 10 à 150 mg-KOH/g, et un équivalent époxy égal ou inférieur à 220; (C) un catalyseur thermiquement latent et cationiquement polymérisable; et (D) des particules fines de gel polymère ou une combinaison de silice colloïdale avec un sel de tétraalkylammonium, le rapport molaire des groupes époxy du composant (A) par rapport aux groupes époxy du composant (B) variant de 1/1 à 1/0,05. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'une pellicule de revêtement multicouches par application successive sur un objet d'au moins une matière colorante et d'au moins une matière de revêtement transparente, caractérisée en ce que la matière de revêtement thermodurcissable à base de solvant organique est utilisée comme matière de revêtement transparente pour former la couche supérieure.
