The present invention relates primarily to the field of Locksmithing, wherein lock cylinders are stripped and re-assembled during re-combination. In re-assembly the loading of pins and springs into the pin chambers of the cylinder shell is a difficult process entailing the manipulation of pins and springs within the confines of the cylinder's bore. Use of a top pin loader, whilst simplifying the process, still requires that springs be individually compressed as they are entered into the cylinder shell's bore. There is a clear need within the Locksmithing industry for a better means of loading the cylinder shell. The invention herein disclosed provides a practical means of rapidly loading the cylinder shell in two simple steps; the first being to compress the pins and springs into a carrier and transfer them smoothly into the cylinder shell; the second being to transfer them into the pin chambers of the shell.
