A method of manufacturing a composite product comprising providing a substrate layer and a slurry formulation including a hydraulic binder and dewatering agent. The slurry is then applied to the substrate layer to form a functional layer and the functional layer dewatered through the substrate layer. The application of the slurry to form the functional layer and dewatering steps can be repeated to build up a laminated composite product. Functional additives may be included in each layer to provide desired properties to that layer and indeed to the subsequent composite product.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un produit composite, consistant à former une couche substrat et une formulation liquide comprenant un liant hydraulique et un agent d'assèchement. La formulation est alors appliquée sur la couche substrat pour former une couche fonctionnelle et la couche fonctionnelle est asséchée à travers la couche substrat. L'application de la formulation pour former la couche fonctionnelle et les étapes d'assèchement peuvent être répétées afin d'obtenir un produit composite laminé. Des additifs fonctionnels peuvent être inclus dans chaque couche afin d'obtenir les caractéristiques désirées pour cette couche et, par conséquent, pour le produit composite obtenu.
