The broadest aspect of the invention is a composition and method of treatment of fungal pathologies of the oral cavity or fungal growth on the surface of dentures. A preferred embodiment of the invention is a pharmacologically effective amount of a peptide selected from the group of peptides with a C- terminal sequence consisting of KPV, HFRWGKPV, and SYSMEHFRWGKPV in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of a fungicide selected from the group consisting of: itraconazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole and fluconazole. Another embodiment of the invention is a method for treating fungal pathologies of the of oral cavity and dentures by application of a pharmacologically effective amount of a peptide selected from the group of peptides with a C-terminal sequence consisting of KPV, HFRWGKPV, and SYSMEHFRWGKPV in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of a fungicide selected from the group consisting of: itraconazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole and fluconazole. In yet another embodiment of the invention these peptides are used in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of gram positive and/or gram negative antibiotics.
La présente invention concerne, suivant son aspect le plus global, une composition et une méthode de traitement des pathologies fongiques de la cavité orale ou de la croissance de pathogènes fongiques sur la surface des dents. Dans une forme de réalisation préférée, l'invention concerne une quantité pharmacologiquement efficace d'un peptide sélectionné dans le groupe des peptides ayant une séquence C-terminale comprenant KPV, HFRWGKPV et SYSMEHFRWGKPV en combinaison avec une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un fongicide sélectionné dans le groupe formé de: itraconazole, éconazole, cétoconazole, miconazole et fluconazole. Une autre forme de réalisation de l'invention concerne une méthode de traitement des pathologies fongiques de la cavité orale et des dents qui consiste à appliquer une quantité pharmacologiquement efficace d'un peptide sélectionné dans le groupe de peptides ayant une séquence C-terminale comprenant KPV, HFRWGKPV et SYSMEHFRWGKPV en combinaison avec une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un fongicide sélectionné dans le groupe formé par: itraconazole, éconazole, cétoconazole, miconazole et fluconazole. Dans une dernière forme de réalisation de l'invention, ces peptides sont utilisés en combinaison avec une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'antibiotiques gram positif et/ou gram négatif.
