A system and method for modifying and displaying ticker data information to a user. The method of displaying data through an information ticker comprises receiving programming data from a remote source, displaying the programming data to a user as an information ticker and providing a user interface adapted to modify the extent that the programming data is displayed to the user. An enhanced television content delivery system for delivering ticker data comprises a device coupled to a communications link wherein the device is operative to receive the ticker data via the communications link. The device comprises a processor configured to filter the ticker data in accordance with a user supplied parameter.
L'invention concerne un systeme et un procédé permettant de modifier et d'afficher des informations de données de ticker pour un utilisateur. Le procédé permettant d'afficher des données par l'intermédiaire d'un ticker d'informations consiste à recevoir des données de programmation d'une source distante, à afficher ces données de programmation sous forme d'un ticker d'informations pour un utilisateur, et à fournir une interface utilisateur conçue pour modifier le domaine que les données de programmation affichent pour cet utilisateur. Un système de distribution de contenu de télévision amélioré distribuant des données de ticker comprend un dispositif couplé à une liaison de communication, ledit dispositif fonctionnant de façon à recevoir les données de ticker via ladite liaison de communication.
