A connector for terminating a communications cable is disclosed including a termination assembly (30) including a plurality of wire receiving contacts (32) for receiving wires (24) of a cable; a lacing fixture (22) with a number of wire receiving spaces (23) and which is used to guide the wires into engagement with the wire receiving contacts (32); and a cutting blade (34) having a cutting portion (35) and a body portion; wherein the termination assembly and lacing fixture are arranged such that, as they are assembled together, wires held in the lacing fixture are pushed past the cutting portion of the blade which cuts off excess wire, the cut wires are pushed beyond the body portion of the blade, and the wires are pushed into engagement with the wire receiving contacts.
L'invention concerne un connecteur destiné à refermer un câble de communications, lequel inclut un ensemble terminal (30) incluant une pluralité de contacts (32) de réception de fils destinés à recevoir les fils (24) d'un câble, une installation (22) à peignes comportant un certain nombre d'espaces (23) de réception de fils et qui est utilisée pour guider les fils pour qu'il se mettent en prise avec les contacts (32) de réception de fils, ainsi qu'une lame de coupe (34) possédant une partie de découpe (35) et un corps, l'assemblage terminal et l'installation à peignes étant agencés de telle sorte que lorsqu'ils sont assemblés, les fils maintenus dans l'installation en peignes soit poussés vers la partie de coupe de la lame qui découpe le fil qui dépasse, les fils coupés étant poussés au-delà du corps de la lame et les fils étant mis en prise avec les contacts de réception de fils.
