A connector apparatus (1 ) for securing together two components (30, 40) such as a newel post (40) and a newel base (30) includes: a coupling means (4, 5) arranged to be secured within a first (40) of said two components; and a clamp means arranged to be disposed within a second (30) of said two components to be accessible by said coupling means and having two clamp parts (6, 7) assembleable to be disposed at different sides of said coupling means by a linkage means (28) adapted to link said two clamp parts (6,7) to releasably clamp one or both clamp parts to the coupling means (4,5) thereby to releasably secure the two components together wherein the linkage means (28) of the clamp means is adapted to be disposed adjacent the coupling means in use to permit insertion or release of the coupling means from the assembled clamp means without obstruction thereby.
L'appareil de connexion (1) de l'invention pour fixer l'un à l'autre deux composants (30, 40) tels qu'un pilastre (40) et une base de pilastre (30) comporte : un moyen d'accouplement (4, 5) destiné à être fixé dans un premier (40) desdits deux composants et un moyen de serrage devant être disposé dans un deuxième (30) desdits deux composants, et auquel ledit moyen d'accouplement doit pouvoir accéder, et possédant deux parties de serrage (6, 7) pouvant être assemblées et disposées sur des côtés différents dudit moyen d'accouplement par un moyen de liaison (28) adapté pour relier lesdites deux parties de serrage (6,7) afin de serrer de manière détachable une partie de serrage ou les deux au moyen d'accouplement (4,5) de façon à fixer l'un à l'autre de manière détachable les deux composants, le moyen de liaison (28) du moyen de serrage étant adapté pour être disposé à proximité du moyen d'accouplement pendant l'utilisation, pour permettre l'insertion ou le retrait du moyen d'accouplement dans ou hors du moyen de serrage assemblé sans provoquer d'obstruction.
