A core (110, 150) for supporting a covering (200, 510, 620) of a cable entry device (100, 500, 600). The core comprises at least one intermediate portion (111, 151a, 151b) connected to locking means (112, 113a, 113b, 152, 153a, 153b). The locking means are connected to the intermediate portion for instantly locking the core to a surrounding material when it is inserted into a hole thereof.
