As a novel substance is provided such a new, crystalline substance of Cefditoren pivoxil which has a high purity and an enhanced thermal stability on storage. This crystalline Cefditoren pivoxil may be prepared by a process comprising a step of dissolving amorphous substance of Cefditoren pivoxil in an anhydrous, first organic solvent capable of dissolving said amorphous substance well therein, and steps of replacing the first organic solvent component of the resulting solution by an anhydrous alkanol of 1 to 5 carbon atoms as a second organic solvent, in such a manner that the firstly prepared solution of Cefditoren pivoxil in the first organic solvent is mixed with a volume of the alkanol and then is concentrated below 15°C under reduced pressure, and so on. Thereby, the process proceeds so as to produce a solution containing 50 mg/ml to 250 mg/ml of Cefditoren pivoxil dissolved in the alkanol alone. From the latter solution, crystals of Cefditoren pivoxil are induced to deposit by addition of water at a temperature of 0 - 10°C. The resulting admixture of the concentrated solution of Cefditoren pivoxil in alkanol with added water and the deposited Cefditoren pivoxil is then agitated 10°C or below, to effect a complete crystallization of Cefditoren pivoxil .
La présente invention concerne une nouvelle substance telle qu'une nouvelle substance cristalline de Cefditoren pivoxyl qui se caractérise par un haut degré de pureté et une stabilité thermique au stockage accrue. On peut préparer ce Cefditoren pivoxyl cristallin selon un procédé se décomposant en plusieurs opérations. La première opération consiste à dissoudre du Cefditoren pivoxyl amorphe dans un premier solvant organique convenant particulièrement à la dissolution du Cefditoren pivoxyl. On répète ensuite plusieurs fois une opération consistant à remplacer le composant du premier solvant organique de la solution résultante par un second solvant, en l'occurrence un C1-5 alcanol anhydre, et ce, jusqu'à ce que la solution de Cefditoren pivoxyl préparée initialement dans le premier solvant organique se mélange avec un certain volume de l'alcanol et se concentre en dessous de 15 DEG C sous pression réduite. Ce procédé permet de produire une solution contenant de 50 mg/ml à 250 mg/ml de Cefditoren pivoxyl en solution dans l'alcanol seul. A partir de cette dernière solution, on provoque le dépôt de cristaux de Cefditoren pivoxyl par adjonction d'eau à 0 - 10 DEG C. On agite ensuite le mélange résultant, en l'occurrence la solution concentrée de Cefditoren pivoxyl dans l'alcanol et l'eau d'addition mélangée au dépôt de Cefditoren pivoxyl, à une température de 10 DEG C ou inférieure jusqu'à obtenir la cristallisation complète du Cefditoren pivoxyl.
