A cost-effective, currency dispense and control system (CDCS) 10 securely dispenses paper money in one of the following modules (1) an ATM system and (2) a currency control system 38 that allows a merchant or merchant-approved employee to withdraw cash from the CDCS 10 independent of a standard ATM electronic fund transfer (EFT) network. The CDCS may also include the following functionalities: a duress dispensation system that allows the CDCS 10 to activate an alarm and/or otherwise communicate with local police or security services during a robbery, a time-release system that effects a time- delayed dispensation functionality, and a user identification and authentication system for authenticating a user identity and determining eligibility of the user to access the currency control system.
L'invention concerne un système de distribution et de commande de billets de banque (CDCS) (10) rentable lequel distribue de manière sécurisée du papier monnaie dans un des modules suivants: (1) un système GAB et (2) un système (38) de commande de billets de banque permettant à un commerçant ou à un employé mandaté par un commerçant de retirer de l'espèce auprès du CDCS (10) indépendamment d'un réseau (TFE) de transfert de fonds électronique à GAB classiques. Le CDCS (10) peut également comprendre les fonctionnalités suivantes: un système de distribution à contrainte permettant au CDCS (10) d'activer une alarme et/ou encore de communiquer avec la police locale ou des services de sécurité pendant un vol, un système de temporisation mettant en oeuvre une fonctionnalité de distribution temporisée, et un système d'identification et d'authentification d'utilisateur destiné à authentifier l'identité d'un utilisateur et à déterminer l'admissibilité de l'utilisateur à accéder au système de commande de billets de banque.
