The present invention relates to cutter (10) for a raise boring head, a device for accommodating thermally expanding grease and a method for greasing bearings in a cutter, said cutter (10) being rotatably mounted, via a shaft (12) of the cutter (10), in a saddle secured to the raise boring head, bearings (18, 20) provided between the shaft (12) and a roller body (16) of the cutter (10) in order to make it possible for the rolls body (16) to rotate relative to the shaft (12), seals (33) between the shaft (12) and the roller body (16), and boring/hole means (38, 48, 50) for introducing lubrication means into the interior of the cutter (10). The invention is characterized by a retainer plug (52) having an intermediate portion (56) with reduced diameter in order to provide an expansion space for the grease in the cutter (10).
L'invention concerne un organe coupant (10) pour tête de forage ascendant, un dispositif destiné à recevoir de la graisse se dilatant sous l'effet de la chaleur, ainsi qu'un procédé de graissage de paliers dans un organe coupant. Ledit organe coupant (10) est monté rotatif, par l'intermédiaire d'un arbre (12), dans un étrier fixé à la tête de forage ascendant, des paliers (18, 20) étant prévus entre l'arbre (12) et un corps à rouleaux (16) de l'organe de coupe (10) de sorte que ce dernier (16) puisse tourner par rapport à l'arbre (12). Des joints d'étanchéité (33) situés entre l'arbre (12) et le corps à rouleaux (16) ainsi que des moyens de forage (38, 48, 50) permettant d'introduire des moyens de lubrification à l'intérieur de l'organe coupant (10) sont également prévus. Le dispositif selon l'invention se caractérise par un bouchon de retenue (52) dont la partie intermédiaire (56) présente un diamètre réduit permettant de ménager un espace de dilatation pour la graisse dans l'organe coupant.
