A cutting head for brush cutter, edge trimmer or similar comprises a passageway (112) for a cutting string (300) and at least one fillet (120) to support the string extending between s string outlet region of the said passageway and peripheral region of the head. According to the invention, the surface of the fillet presents a recessed profile (120a,120b) which is substantially complementary to a part of the cross-section of the cutting string (300), in order to guide the cutting string in this recess when the string flexes in a direction opposite to the rotation of the head to rest against the fillet. Thus the trajectory of the string can be stabilized and its fatigue limited when there are successive impacts against the fillet.

L'invention concerne une tête de coupe pour débroussailleuse, coupe-rives ou analogue, comprenant un passage (112) pour un câble de coupe (300) et au moins un rebord (120) pour supporter le câble s'étendant entre une zone de sortie du câble dudit passage et une zone périphérique de la tête. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la surface du rebord présente un profil en retrait (120a, 120b) qui est sensiblement complémentaire d'une partie de la section transversale du câble de coupe (300), en vue de guider ce câble de coupe dans l'évidement lorsque le câble fléchit dans une direction opposée à la rotation de la tête afin de reposer contre le rebord. La trajectoire du câble peut ainsi être stabilisée, et sa contrainte de fatigue peut être limitée en cas de plusieurs chocs successifs contre le rebord.
