In a pressure screening device for separating undesired particles from a fibre suspension a cylindrical screen (2) is provided. The screen has an outer side and an inner side and is provided with a plurality of projections (19) on the outer side of the screen (2) which extend in the circumferential direction of the screen (2), grooves (17) formed on the inner side of the screen (2) and extending in a direction having an axial component, and screening passages in the form of slots (18) disposed in the area of each groove (17) and diverging from the inner side of the screen (2) towards its outer side. According to the invention, the projections (19), grooves (17) and slots (18) of the screen (2) are produced by working of a substantially planar screen plate bent into cylindrical shape subsequent to the working. Thereby it is possible to form a screen (2) having uniform slots (18), the width of which at the inner side of the screen (2) is only about 0.1 mm. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a screen (2).
Un dispositif de criblage sous pression destiné à séparer des particules non désirées d'une suspension fibreuse comprend un tamis (2) cylindrique. Ce tamis, présentant une face externe et une face interne, est pourvu d'une pluralité de parties saillantes (19) sur sa face externe qui s'étendent dans le sens circonférentiel du tamis (2), de gorges (17) formées sur la face interne et s'étendant dans un sens présentant une composante axiale, et des passages de tamisage en forme de fentes (18) disposés dans la surface de chaque gorge (17) et s'écartant de la face interne du tamis pour s'orienter vers la face externe. Selon cette invention, les parties saillantes (19), les gorges (17) et les fentes (18) du tamis (2) sont obtenues par usinage d'une plaque de tamis pratiquement plane, et courbée de façon à être transformée en cylindre après usinage. Il est donc possible de former un tamis (2) à fentes (18) uniformes dont la longueur au niveau de la face interne du tamis est seulement d'environ 0,1 mm. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication de ce tamis (2).
