A cylindrical screen (16) comprises an inlet end (11) for receiving a paper pulp suspension to be separated from undesired particles, and a reject end (13) for removing separated particles. The screen (16) is intended for the kind of pressure screening apparatus having rotor wings (9) adapted to move along a cylindrical path close to the inlet side of the screen. Elongated flow deflecting members (22) are arranged on the inlet side of the screen and are distributed around the circumference of the screen, each elongated flow deflecting member extending obliquely relative to the centre axis of the screen and forwards relative to the direction of rotation of the rotor wings as seen from the inlet end (11) of the screen. According to the invention the distance between adjacent flow deflecting members (22) as seen in the circumferential direction of the screen is less than 6 mm, whereby a high efficiency is obtained with respect to separation of undesired particles without deteriorating the capacity.

L'invention concerne un classeur (16) comprenant une extrémité d'admission (11) destinée à recevoir la suspension de pâte à papier de laquelle les particules doivent être séparées, et une extrémité de rejet (13) destinée à l'évacuation des particules piégées. Le classeur (16) est destiné à un type d'appareil d'épuration sous pression spécifique, pourvu de lames (9) de rotor conçues pour se mouvoir sur un trajet cylindrique à proximité du côté admission du classeur. Des éléments déflecteurs de flux (22), de forme allongée, sont implantés côté admission du classeur et répartis sur sa circonférence. Vu de l'extrémité d'admission (11) du classeur, chaque élément déflecteur de flux de forme allongée s'étend obliquement par rapport à l'axe central du classeur et vers l'avant par rapport au sens de rotation des lames du rotor. Selon l'invention, la distance entre les éléments déflecteurs de flux (22) adjacents, sur la circonférence du classeur, est inférieure à 6 mm. On obtient ainsi une grande efficacité en termes de séparation des particules indésirables sans pour autant altérer la capacité.
