A railing assembly (25) for use in association with a deck (26) having a deck surface (27) and including at least one post (100) extending vertically upwardly from the deck surface. The railing assembly (25) includes at least one plastic post cover (30, 31, 32, 33, 34) for covering the post and at least one plastic rail (40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 47, 48) extending from the plastic post cover. The railing assembly (25) further can include fastening members for securing the rail to the post and the post cover. The railing assembly (25) also can include a unique picket assembly wherein the pickets (50) of the picket assembly is generally vertically oriented and spaced from and secured to the plastic rail. A method of assembling the railing assembly (25) for the deck (26) having the deck surface (27) is also provided.

Cette invention concerne un ensemble de garde-fous (25) utilisables sur une terrasse (26) ayant une surface (27) et comportant au moins un poteau (100) disposé verticalement, en hauteur, à partir de la surface de la terrasse. Cet ensemble de garde-fous (25) comporte au moins un habillage de poteau en matière plastique (30, 31, 32, 33, 34) conçu pour recouvrir le(les) poteau(x) et au moins une rambarde en matière plastique (40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 47, 48) qui s'étend à partir de l'habillage en plastique du poteau. Cet ensemble de garde-fous (25) comporte également des éléments de fixation servant à fixer la rambarde au poteau et à l'habillage du poteau. Il comporte en outre un ensemble unique de piquets, lesdits piquets (50) étant disposés généralement verticalement et espacés de la rambarde à laquelle ils sont fixés. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'assemblage de l'ensemble de garde-fous (25) destiné à la terrasse (26) ayant une surface (27) appropriée.
