A detergent composition suitable for washing coloured fabrics. The composition comprises: a) a N-vinylimidazole N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer (PVP/PVI) in an amount effective to inhibit dye transfer between fabrics during the wash; and b) an organic surfactant system comprising (i) alkylbenzene sulphonate, (ii) a nonionic surfactant in which the ratio of (i) to (ii) is from 7:3 to 99:1.

L'invention concerne une composition détergente pour laver le linge de couleur. La composition contient: (a) un copolymère N-vinylimidazole/N-vinylpyrrolidone (PVP/PVI) en une quantité suffisante pour inhiber le transfert de couleurs entre les tissus durant le lavage (b) un sytème de tensioactif organique comprenant (i) un alkylbenzène sulfonate et (ii) un tensioactif non ionique, le rapport de (i) sur (ii) se situant entre 7:3 et 99:1.
