The invention relates to a microf luidic device for promoting crystallisation of target molecules, such as proteins. The device comprises a solid structure with a top face and an opposite bottom face and with a least one liquid channel. The liquid channel comprises a target molecule solution inlet (24) and at least two precipitant inlets (26). The target molecule solution inlet is in liquid communication with each of the precipitant inlets through the liquid channel. The liquid channel comprises a branching channel section (27) adjacent to the target molecule solution inlet, crystallisation channel sections (29) adjacent to the respective precipitant inlets and flow break channel sections (28) arranged between the branching channel section (27) and each of the crystallization channel sections (29). The liquid channel is branched from 1 to X in the branching channel section (27), wherein X is the number of crystallisation channel sections, and the flow break channel sections (28) comprise a flow break arrangement (28a) capable of breaking up the liquid communication between said respective branching channel section and crystallisation channel sections.

L'invention concerne un dispositif microfluidique conçu pour favoriser la cristallisation de molécules cibles, telles que des protéines. Ce dispositif comprend une structure solide qui comporte une face supérieure et une face inférieure opposée, ainsi qu'un canal de liquide. Ce canal de liquide comprend une admission de solution de molécules cibles et au mois deux admissions d'agent de précipitation. L'admission de solution de molécules cibles communique avec chacune des admissions d'agent de précipitation au moyen du canal de liquide, par circulation de liquide. Ce canal de liquide comprend une section de ramification qui est située à côté de l'admission de solution de molécules cibles, des sections de cristallisation qui sont adjacentes aux admissions d'agent de précipitation respectives, et des sections de rupture d'écoulement qui sont disposées entre la section de ramification et chacune des sections de cristallisation. Le canal de liquide se divise en 1 à X ramifications dans la section de ramification, X étant le nombre de sections de cristallisation, tandis que les sections de rupture d'écoulement comportent un système de rupture d'écoulement pouvant interrompre la communication de liquide entre la section de ramification respective et les sections de cristallisation.
