A device for milking animals, such as cows, includes at least one teat cup and a foremilk reservoir for containing a certain amount of foremilk, obtained at the beginning of the milking process. The foremilk reservoir is provided with an inlet and an outlet. The outlet has an outlet-closing means for the foremilk. The device is provided with a milk container for containing milk obtained, and with at least one milk line connecting the teat cup to the milk container. The foremilk reservoir is integrated in the teat cup. The integration of the foremilk reservoir into the teat cup allows the teat cup to be cleaned separately in a simple manner.
