The invention refers to a device for an electric fence. The device includes an electric unit (1) which is connectable to an electrically conducting fence (2) and which includes a voltage generator (4) arranged to apply a relatively high electric voltage to said fence (2). Furthermore, the device includes a proximity detector (5), which is arranged to sense a state at which an animal is at least in contact with or in the proximity of said fence (2), and a control unit (6), which is connected to the voltage generator (4) and the proximity detector (5) and arranged to activate the voltage generator (4) to apply said relatively high electric voltage to said fence (2) in response to said state. The proximity detector (5) is arranged to detect said state by sensing an electric parameter, which substantially depends on the capacitance between said fence (2) and ground.
L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à une barrière électrique. Ce dispositif comprend une unité électrique (1) qui peut être reliée à une barrière électroconductrice (2) et qui comprend un générateur de tension (4) destiné à appliquer une tension électrique relativement élevée à la barrière (2). Ce dispositif comprend également un détecteur de proximité (5) conçu pour détecter un état dans lequel un animal est au moins en contact avec ou à proximité de cette barrière (2), et une unité de commande (6) qui est reliée au générateur de tension (4) et au détecteur de proximité (5) et qui est conçue pour activer le générateur de tension (4) afin d'appliquer cette tension électrique relativement élevée à cette barrière (2) en réponse audit état. Le détecteur de proximité (5) est conçu pour détecter cet état par détection d'un paramètre électrique qui dépend sensiblement de la capacitance entre la dite barrière (2) et le sol.
