In order to prevent the cooling of seats on chair lifts that is perceived as being unpleasant by skiers, the seats (7) have at least one element (10) which has a good heat storage capacity at operating temperature. This element (10) is preferably integrated in the seat and/or back cushions (8, 9) and comprises, for example, a covering (30) in which a solid or fluid material having a good heat-storing property is contained.
