- 21 - ABSTRACT A cutting device for cutting off thin boards from cants. A blade set in the cutting device, is fastened to a blade holder. The blade holder is in contact with a blade support. The blade support can be installed as a reversible component in a cutting table and can be clamped in an exact position. A transfer apparatus, constructed as a rotating table, is alignable with the cutting device. The blade support can thus be removed from the cutting device. The transfer apparatus can be fixed or movable. In accordance with the invention, a receiving surface for blade supports can be provided and, if desired, can be integrated into the transfer apparatuses.
